Step 1: Set up your profile

Before we start scheduling appointments with people, let's customize our profile so they can better understand who we are.

After creating your account, go to the profile settings.

Here we can customize our full name, profile picture, description, phone number, and job title.

Step 2: Connect your calendar

Still on the profile page, we connect our personal calendar. This is important so that we can only be booked for times when we are actually available.

When you connect your calendar, the following happens:

meetergo checks your calendar to see when you are already busy (Availability Check)
meetergo syncs new appointments with your calendar when you get booked (Two-Way Sync)

When to Use Double Opt-In

Double Opt-In can be necessary or beneficial in certain situations:

Legal Compliance: In some countries, Double Opt-In is legally required to obtain valid marketing consent. This ensures that individuals have explicitly agreed to receive marketing communications.
Privacy Concerns: Industries dealing with sensitive information may prefer this extra verification step.
Compliance Requirements: Some sectors need to adhere to specific regulations that necessitate explicit opt-in from attendees.
Reducing No-Shows: The additional confirmation step can help decrease the likelihood of accidental or insincere bookings.

It's important to note that Double Opt-In is not necessary for all use cases. Many organizations can operate efficiently without this feature, especially if not using any marketing materials in workflows.

Ultimately, the decision to implement Double Opt-In should be made by an organization's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) or a similar authority, taking into account company-specific requirements.

Embed appointment bookings on your website

If you want to integrate meetergo on your website, you can easily do so by copying the booking snippet and pasting it into your website's code. The booking snippet contains the necessary code to provide the booking functionality on your site.

Step 1: Copy the Booking Snippet

Go to the Meeting Type Overview.
Click the "Share" button next to the desired meeting type.
The sharing popup opens. Click on the "Add to Website" tab.
You will now see three integration options. The simplest is "Inline Embed". This embeds the booking form directly on a page. Click on the desired method.
You will now see the embed code. Copy it by clicking the "Copy Code" button.

Meeting types

Meeting Types are appointments that you hold regularly. With Meeting Types, you bundle all settings such as duration, buffer times, or the meeting channel. Additionally, you can personalize notifications, adjust the calendar invitation, and add fields to the form.

Create a Meeting Type for each of your regular appointments and optimize your workflow! Here are commonly used Meeting Types:

Meeting Type types

Through the Meeting Type overview, we can edit Meeting Types by clicking on them, or create a new one by clicking the "New" button. When creating Meeting Types, there are the following presets:

One-on-one: One host with one participant
Group: One host with a group of participants. Each time slot can be booked by multiple people.
Co-hosts: Multiple hosts with one participant. All hosts must be available for an appointment (the combined availability is displayed).
Round-Robin: Rotating hosts with one participant. Appointments are distributed in order to available hosts in the queue.
