Connecting Microsoft Exchange Calendar

Connecting with Microsoft Exchange is secure, simple, and within minutes, meetergo can synchronize with your Microsoft Exchange calendars. Integration with all common Microsoft Exchange versions is supported (including Exchange 2013, 2016, and 2019).

We also support the use of Microsoft Teams in an Exchange hybrid environment.

Connecting meetergo with Microsoft Exchange

  1. Log into your meetergo account and go to Profile Settings.
  2. Next to Microsoft Exchange, click on "Connect".
  3. Enter your Microsoft Exchange email address and password used for logging into Microsoft Exchange. Exchange server, domain, and username are not mandatory (meetergo will attempt to discover your Microsoft Exchange server and authorize via Autodiscover).
  4. Done!

If the Microsoft Exchange server isn't discovered, you can specify the URL in the "Exchange server" field, which allows access to Microsoft Exchange via EWS (e.g., https://mail.company.de/ews/exchange.asmx). Additionally, you can specify a different user for authorization using the Domain and Username fields (domain\username).

Privacy & Security

We understand the sensitive nature of your access credentials, which enable access to your Microsoft Exchange calendar. Protecting them is our top priority:

  1. Your Microsoft Exchange login credentials are transmitted to our servers over an encrypted SSL connection.
  2. We encrypt these credentials and store them in an isolated database accessible only to authorized system processes.
  3. Your decrypted access credentials are temporarily loaded into memory only when necessary to perform availability queries and utilize our scheduling functions. They are never written to disk.
  4. We minimize the use of your data to an absolute minimum, requesting access only to the calendar necessary for availability checks and appointment scheduling.
  5. We adhere to best practices in key management, access controls, audit trails, and data encryption to safeguard your access credentials.

Our platform undergoes regular security audits to verify the effectiveness of our security measures. Protecting your data is of utmost importance to us.

Why Can't I Connect to My Microsoft Exchange Calendar?

Here are some common reasons why you may not be able to access your Microsoft Exchange calendar:

  • Incorrect Login Credentials: Verify that you are using the correct email address and password for your work account.
  • Directly Enter Connection Address: If you only enter your email and password in our form, we attempt to establish a connection using Autodiscover. If this fails, specifying your Microsoft Exchange server's EWS endpoint directly may help. You can also provide your domain\username.
  • Server Issues: Your company's IT team manages the calendar systems for your work account. Sometimes connection issues occur when these servers are temporarily down or undergoing maintenance. Try again later or contact IT support if the issue persists.
  • Security Settings: Settings such as calendar permissions, synchronization settings, or security policies could block access to calendar systems. Your IT team can adjust these settings if necessary.
  • Firewall Blocking Access: If you are connecting outside the office network, a firewall may block connections to calendar systems. Your IT team can investigate this if needed.

If you continue to experience connection issues after trying the above steps, contact your IT support team. Inform them that you are unable to access your Microsoft Exchange calendar from another app. They can then conduct further investigations based on your company's system configuration.
