Connecting Microsoft Teams

Connecting meetergo with Microsoft Teams is easy and takes just a few minutes. The integration allows for instant creation of Microsoft Teams links upon a new booking, enabling meetings to be held directly in Teams. The Teams integration works hand in hand with our Outlook integration, ensuring your appointments are always synchronized with your Outlook calendar.

No personal data is collected or stored through the granted access to the Microsoft account.

Note: We also support connecting Microsoft Teams via Exchange in a hybrid environment.

Connecting meetergo with Microsoft Teams

To use Microsoft Teams, a Microsoft account that belongs to an organization and has Teams activated is necessary.

Log into your meetergo account and go to the settings.
Click on Connect next to Microsoft Teams.
You will be redirected to the Microsoft login. Log into your account and grant access to your calendar if necessary.
Done! In meetergo, "Connected" should now appear next to Microsoft Teams!

When connecting Microsoft Teams, your Outlook calendar will automatically be connected. If you don't want Outlook appointments to affect your availability, click on the calendar icon next to Outlook. This will make meetergo ignore your appointments in Outlook.

For round-robin appointment types: Don't forget that all team members using meetergo need to connect their Microsoft Teams account! The reason is that the respective host will also be the host of the Teams meeting. If you create an appointment type for your team member who is not connected to Microsoft, no meeting link can be created upon booking.

Assigning Microsoft Teams to an Appointment Type

Log into your meetergo account and go to Appointment Types.
Create a new appointment type or edit an existing one.
Select Channel from the side menu. Choose Microsoft Teams from the list.
Done! Your meetings will now be held on Teams.

If you haven't connected your meetergo account with Microsoft Teams yet, you will see a Connect button next to Microsoft Teams in the channel list, allowing you to connect your Microsoft Teams account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about our Teams integration.

Yes! When you receive a booking for an appointment type where Teams is set as the channel, a new meeting link is automatically generated and added to the calendar. This way, both the host and the customer can easily join the conversation via the link in the calendar. The meetergo host is also the administrator of the meeting. A unique link is created for each booking, ensuring no unauthorized person can join the appointment.

Yes, if multiple users are assigned to an appointment type, all team members must connect their meetergo account with Teams. This ensures that Teams links are generated by the correct host for round robin or group events. For example: Person A and Person B are assigned to a round robin appointment type. A booking is made, Person A is chosen through round robin, and the Teams link is generated. Person A is the host of the event. The next booking goes to Person B. Person B is the host of the next event.

The Teams link is available through the following dynamic tag: {!M.Meeting.Link}

Does the Teams integration work with Microsoft Exchange?

Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Teams can be connected separately. More information about the Exchange connection can be found in the corresponding article. Unfortunately, using Teams via the Microsoft Exchange connection is not supported by Microsoft.

Microsoft Teams is not available - why?

If you see "not available" next to Microsoft Teams after connecting with Microsoft, it means that the Microsoft Graph API has indicated that Teams is not available for your account. Learn more about this here.
