Notifications for new inbox messages

Get a push in the app, a dashboard notice and an email when a contact writes on WhatsApp, website chat, email or any other channel.

Updated on November 6, 2026

When a contact writes to you, meetergo lets you know. This works on every channel in your inbox: WhatsApp, website chat, email, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram and LinkedIn.

How you are notified

  • In the app and as a push: an entry under the bell in the dashboard and a push to your phone if you use the meetergo app. Tap it to open the conversation.
  • By email: a short email with the sender, the start of the message and a link to the conversation.

The lock screen only shows the channel, never the name or the text.

When you are notified

EventDefault
New conversation: a contact writes for the first timeApp and push on, email on
New message in a read conversation: a contact writes again after you read everythingoff

If a contact sends several messages in a row, you get one notice. Older messages imported when you connect a mailbox or a LinkedIn account do not notify anyone.

Who is notified

  1. If the conversation is assigned, only that person is notified.
  2. Otherwise the contact's owner in the CRM is notified.
  3. If there is neither, everyone on the team who can use the channel is notified.

Chats on a private WhatsApp number and on your own LinkedIn account only reach the people who can see them.

Change your notifications

  1. Open the inbox.
  2. On the left, below your inboxes, click Notifications.
  3. For New conversation and New message in a read conversation, switch In the app and as a push and Email on or off.

The setting is yours alone. Everyone on the team chooses for themselves.

Forward with a webhook

With the webhook event Message received (all channels) (conversation_message_received), meetergo sends every incoming message (except LinkedIn, whose inboxes are personal) to your own system, such as Make, n8n or a Slack integration. See Webhooks in meetergo for how to set one up.
