Add company knowledge to Mira

Upload documents and add a website so Mira can answer questions using your own content, both in the dashboard and on your website chat widget.

Updated on June 23, 2026

Give Mira a knowledge base so it answers from your own content instead of guessing. Upload documents, add a website, and Mira grounds its answers in what you provide, for your team in the dashboard and for visitors on your website chat widget.

You manage all of this on the Company knowledge tab of the Mira console.

Upload documents

  1. Go to the Mira console and open the Company knowledge tab.
  2. Drag files onto the upload area, or click to browse.
  3. Mira reads the text and adds it to the knowledge base. You can upload several files at once.

Supported file types: PDF, Word (.doc, .docx), plain text (.txt), Markdown (.md), and CSV.

Maximum file size: 25 MB per file.

Add a website

Instead of uploading pages one by one, point Mira at your website and it reads the pages for you.

  1. In the Add a website section, enter a web address (for example example.com).
  2. Choose the language of the content you want to add.
  3. Click Crawl.

The crawl runs in the background. You will see live progress as Mira discovers pages and adds them, and a summary when it finishes.

Manage your knowledge base

The In the knowledge base list shows everything Mira has learned from, with each item's title and how many sections it was split into. To remove a source, click the trash icon next to it. Mira stops using it right away.

How Mira uses your knowledge

When someone asks a question, Mira searches your knowledge base for the most relevant sections and uses them to answer. This keeps answers accurate and specific to your business.

  • In the dashboard, Mira draws on your knowledge whenever it helps.
  • On the website widget, knowledge is used when you enable Answer from your knowledge base in the widget settings.
