Reconnecting Your Integrations After a Lost Connection

Updated on August 16, 2025

Sometimes your calendar connection may be lost, but don't worry - this is completely normal and not your fault or a problem with meetergo. This guide shows you exactly how to quickly reconnect your calendar and get everything working perfectly again in just a few clicks.

Why Calendar Connections Sometimes Get Disconnected

meetergo connects to your calendar using an industry-standard protocol called OAuth. This is the same secure method used by virtually all apps that integrate with Google, Microsoft, and other providers. Occasionally, your calendar provider may revoke this connection for security reasons that are outside of meetergo's control.

Common reasons include:

  • Password change: When you change your Google or Microsoft password, all third-party app connections are revoked as a security measure.
  • Manually revoking access: If you remove meetergo from your Google or Microsoft account security settings, the connection is revoked.
  • Admin policy changes: If your organization uses Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, your IT admin may restrict which third-party apps can access your calendar.
  • Long period of inactivity: If the connection hasn't been used for an extended period (e.g. 6+ months), your calendar provider may revoke it automatically.
  • Security events: If your calendar provider detects unusual activity on your account, it may revoke all third-party connections as a precaution.

This is completely normal and happens with all apps that connect to calendar services — not just meetergo. When it does happen, reconnecting takes just a few clicks.
