Connect Webmetic
See which companies visit your website, with industry, size and the pages they viewed.
What the Webmetic integration does
Webmetic identifies the companies behind visits to your website. Once connected, meetergo shows you those companies under Integrations & Apps > Webmetic > Show visitors: name, location, industry, employee range, a lead score and the pages each visit covered.
Webmetic is an EU vendor. The tracking tag identifies companies, not people, and delivers no IP addresses to meetergo.
Before you begin
- You need to be an admin of your meetergo organization.
- You need access to the website's source code or its tag manager to install a small script.
Connecting
- Go to Integrations & Apps and open Webmetic.
- Enter an email address for the Webmetic account and the domain of your website (for example
example.de). - Click Connect.
meetergo creates a Webmetic account for your organization. The password is shown once. You only need it if you want to log in at Webmetic directly, for example to book a larger package there.
Save the password right away. meetergo does not store it and cannot show it again.
Installing the tracking tag
After connecting, copy the tracking tag and paste it into the <head> of every page of your website, or add it through your tag manager. Without the tag no visits are recorded.
Identified companies appear a few minutes after their visit. Company details such as industry and lead score can be added a little later.
Tracking more than one website
Open the Webmetic settings and add further domains. Each domain uses the same tracking tag. Removing a domain stops the data flow for it; already identified companies stay in meetergo.
Monthly limit
Your meetergo plan includes a number of identified companies per month for your organization:
| Plan | Companies per month |
|---|---|
| Free | 10 |
| Light | 20 |
| Suite | 30 |
| Premium | 50 |
Companies beyond the limit are still recorded and are counted on the visitors page, but their details stay hidden. Upgrade your meetergo plan for a higher limit, or take a Webmetic package for unlimited identification.
Bookings and Mira
When someone books a meeting with a work email whose domain matches an identified company, the booking's detail panel shows a Website visitor block: the company, its size and industry, the lead score, and the pages it viewed. Mira uses the same facts when she writes the pre-meeting brief and when you ask her about a meeting, and she can read a company's website activity from the CRM as well.
Personal mailboxes such as Gmail or Outlook.com never match.
Hot, warm and cold
Every identified company gets an interest rating you can filter by. It adds up recent visits, repeat visits, pages viewed, time on site, visits to pricing, contact or demo pages, and Webmetic's own lead score. A company that stops visiting cools down again. The rating and its reasons are shown on the company, in the booking panel and to Mira.
Disconnecting
Open the Webmetic settings or use the delete action on the Webmetic card. This removes your domains from the Webmetic account and stops the data flow. Already identified companies remain in meetergo and come back if you reconnect the same domain.
