Session Cards: Sell Several Sessions at Once
Sell a 10 session card, for example. Your clients pay once and book the sessions one by one later through their personal booking link.
A session card sells several sessions at once, for example ten coaching sessions for one price. Your client pays once and books the sessions one by one later, without paying again. It fits coaching, therapy, consulting, tutoring and anything else that happens over several sessions.
Session cards live in the Payments app, on the Session cards tab.
Session cards are available wherever you can use payment links. Connect at least one payment provider (Stripe, PayPal or Mollie) on the Providers tab first.
Session card or bundle? With a session card, your client buys sessions in advance and books them one by one later. With a meeting type bundle, they book several meeting types at once, picking the times at purchase.
Create a session card
- Open Payments, Session cards tab
- Click Create session card
- Give the card a name, for example "10 coaching sessions"
- Under Bookable meeting types, pick the booking pages the card covers. One session from the card works for each of them
- Set the Number of sessions and the Price (gross). When the booking page has a price of its own, you see the price per session next to it
- Pick the Validity: no expiry, or 90, 180 or 365 days after purchase
- Click Create session card
On the right you see a preview of the purchase page. Once saved, the share link appears there. Copy it and share it on your website, in an email or in a chat.
Group meetings and meeting types with several time slots or series can't be paid with a session card. They are greyed out in the picker.
What your clients see
- Your client opens the link, sees the name, number of sessions, validity and price, and pays
- Right after, they get an email with their personal booking link
- Through that link they see how many sessions are left and book the next one. Nothing is charged at booking
- With their last session and 14 days before expiry they get a reminder by email
The booking link belongs to the client who paid. Bookings always use their email address.
Cancellations
Sessions from a session card follow the cancellation window of the booking page:
- Cancelled in time: the session goes back onto the card
- Cancelled later: the session counts as used
- Cancelled by you: the session always goes back onto the card
Manage credits on the contact
Every buyer is in your CRM. Open the contact and switch to the Session cards tab. You see per card how many sessions are left, until when they are valid, and what happened to them.
- Resend booking link: sends the client their link again
- Adjust credits: add sessions (for example
2) or remove some (for example-1). A reason is required. Every change shows up in the history, with your name - Block link: every link sent so far stops working, for example when a link was passed on. The client can get a new link right away. Credits and bookings stay
When the payment is refunded in full, meetergo closes the session card. Remaining sessions can no longer be booked.
Pause and archive
A paused session card can no longer be bought. Sessions already bought stay bookable. Archiving hides the card from the list. Restore it under Archived session cards.
Changes to the number of sessions and the validity apply to new purchases only. Clients who already bought keep what they bought.
On the Offerings tab, a session card's payment link carries a Session card badge. Change price and status on the session card, not on the payment link.
Validity and the law
Validity counts exact days from the purchase. 365 days from 30 September end on 30 September of the next year, one day earlier when the span includes 29 February.
Short deadlines on paid session cards are legally tricky. In Germany, bought services often fall under the regular three year limitation period, and a deadline in your terms that is too short can be void. Check the deadline for your clients, with legal advice if in doubt. No expiry is the safe choice.
