Online meeting: each host's own video app

Let every booking use the video app of the host's calendar, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, with meetergo Connect as the fallback.

Updated on October 19, 2026

Choose Online meeting as the venue when your hosts use different calendars. Each booking gets a video link from the calendar of the host who gets it. Nobody has to switch tools, and the meeting type never points at the wrong provider.

Google CalendarGoogle Meet
Microsoft Outlook or Exchange with TeamsMicrosoft Teams
Any other calendar, or nonemeetergo Connect

The calendar that counts is the one your bookings are written to, set under Calendars.

Your invitee sees Online meeting on the booking page. The confirmation email and calendar invite carry the real link.

Set it up

  1. Open the meeting type, or the meeting type template, and go to Venue
  2. Click Change and choose Online meeting
  3. Save

It works for single hosts, round robin and team meeting types, and for templates. Pushing a template applies it to every meeting type made from it.

The booking always goes through. If Google Meet or Teams can't create a link, for example because the connection expired, the booking uses a meetergo Connect link instead, and the host gets an email and an in-app notice. Reconnect the calendar under Integrations & Apps so new bookings use Google Meet or Teams again.
