Connect your LinkedIn account

Connect your personal LinkedIn account to meetergo with cookies or your password, keep it connected and disconnect it again.

Each person on your team connects their own LinkedIn account. It takes about 30 seconds with cookies or two minutes with your password.

Start connecting

  1. Open Conversations → Channels → LinkedIn.
  2. Click Connect account.
  3. Pick Connect with cookies (recommended) or Email and password.
  4. Confirm that this is your own LinkedIn account.

If every seat is taken, you see No free LinkedIn seat. Admins can buy another seat right there. Members ask a company admin.

You copy your LinkedIn session from your browser. meetergo never sees your password.

  1. Install the free Cookie-Editor extension for Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
  2. Open linkedin.com in that browser, logged in to your account.
  3. In Cookie-Editor, click Export, then Export as JSON.
  4. Paste the result into meetergo and click Connect.

Connect with email and password

Log in with the email or phone and the password you use on linkedin.com. LinkedIn may ask for a code by SMS, email or authenticator app, or ask you to approve the login in the LinkedIn app. Each check stays open for five minutes.

Keep me connected

LinkedIn signs sessions out from time to time. With Keep me connected, meetergo logs you back in by itself.

  1. On LinkedIn, open Settings, then Sign in and security.
  2. Open Two-step verification and choose Authenticator app.
  3. Click Can't scan the QR code? and copy the key.
  4. Add the key to your authenticator app too and finish the setup on LinkedIn.
  5. In meetergo, turn on Keep me connected and paste the key.

Already connected? On the Accounts tab, open the menu on your account and click Turn on keep connected.

Your password and key are stored encrypted and used only to log you back in. Click Turn off keep connected at any time to delete them.

Choose your inbox

At the end, meetergo asks which LinkedIn conversations it may keep. Keep it private is the default. See Choose a private or full LinkedIn inbox.

To keep the risk low, meetergo logs in from your country and paces every send. See LinkedIn limits, warm-up and account safety.

Disconnect

  1. Open Conversations → Channels → LinkedIn.
  2. Open the menu next to the account and click Disconnect.

meetergo logs out of the account and deletes any stored login. The seat is free again. Company admins can disconnect a teammate's account the same way. You can connect again at any time.
