Why was a LinkedIn action skipped?

What each skip reason in the LinkedIn activity, campaigns and workflow runs means and what to do about it.

Updated on October 3, 2026

meetergo skips a send instead of risking a mistake. The reason shows in the account's activity, on the campaign lead or in the workflow's Recent runs.

Reasons from LinkedIn

ReasonWhat it means
"No LinkedIn profile to send to."The contact has no LinkedIn profile. Add it on the contact.
"LinkedIn does not know this profile."The profile URL is wrong or the profile was deleted.
"You are already connected."A request is not needed. Send a message instead.
"A request between you is already open."Nothing is sent twice.
"They already sent you a request. Accept it on LinkedIn."Accept it on linkedin.com.
"They did not accept an earlier request."meetergo does not ask again.
"Messages go only to your connections."Send a connection request first.
"This is the sending account itself."The contact is the sender.
"This contact objected to being contacted."The contact opted out. meetergo respects it.
"The contact was deleted before sending."Nothing to send to.
"LinkedIn refused this recipient."LinkedIn does not allow sends to this person.
"The sending account was disconnected."Reconnect the account.
"No recent post to like."They posted nothing within the chosen age.

Notes left out

The request still goes out, without the note:

  • "Sent without the note: the free account's notes for this month are used up."
  • "Sent without the note: it is too long for this account." Free accounts allow 200 characters.

Reasons in workflow runs

ReasonWhat to do
"LinkedIn is no longer part of your plan."Buy seats again. See LinkedIn seats and billing.
"Nobody to send as: no host or deal owner."Make sure the meeting has a host or the deal an owner.
"The sender has no connected LinkedIn account."The host or deal owner connects their account.
"The sender's account was disconnected before approval."Reconnect it.
"Nobody to write to."The trigger has no person.
"No LinkedIn profile known, and the lookup is off."Add the profile, or turn on Look up the LinkedIn profile if it is missing.
"The lookup found no LinkedIn profile. It needs a work email."Add the profile by hand.
"This month's LinkedIn lookups are used up."Wait for next month or add the profile by hand.
"The LinkedIn lookup did not answer."Try again later, or add the profile by hand.
"The message was empty once the variables were filled."Add fixed text around your variables.
"A variable could not be filled, so nothing was sent."Fill the missing field on the contact.
"The note was over 300 characters once the variables were filled."Shorten the note.
"The connection request before the message did not go out."Check the request's reason in the activity.
"The step was deleted before it ran."Nothing to do.
"The workflow was turned off before it ran."Turn it on again for future runs.
"The meeting was cancelled, so nothing was sent."Nothing to do.

In campaigns

On the Leads tab of a campaign:

  • Already in another campaign: another campaign reached this lead first, so this one skips it.
  • Not a connection, message skipped: the lead moves on to the next step.
  • No LinkedIn profile or LinkedIn profile not found: the lead stops. Fix the profile and add the contact to a new list.
  • Sender account disconnected: reconnect the account.
