Connect GMX for newsletters

Find the login details for GMX and connect it to meetergo Newsletter.

Updated on September 8, 2026

Open Newsletter → Mailboxes → Connect mailbox, enter your sender name and email address, then choose GMX.

Find your login details

In GMX webmail, open Settings → POP3/IMAP retrieval and enable access through POP3 and IMAP. Save the change. Use the full mailbox address. If two-factor authentication is enabled, create an application-specific password for this connection.

Provider instructions.

Connection details

ProtocolServerPortEncryption
SMTPmail.gmx.net587STARTTLS
IMAPimap.gmx.net993SSL/TLS

Test and check the domain

Select Continue, then Connect and test. The test sends an email to your meetergo account address. If it fails, return to the login step, correct the details and test again.

Your provider manages its own domain’s DNS. meetergo skips DNS setup for recognised freemail addresses.

Sending limits

meetergo starts at 30 emails per hour, with warm-up enabled. This is a starting setting, not your provider’s quota. Check your account’s daily allowance and include mail sent outside meetergo. The hourly limit does not enforce a daily quota. Adjust it under Edit → Sending limit.

To stop using this mailbox, remove it from the Mailboxes page. For a new password, edit the mailbox and test again.
