Timer in the browser extension

Run the timer, clock in and out and confirm drafts from the meetergo Chrome extension, also in Gmail.

Updated on October 30, 2026

The meetergo Chrome extension shows your time in the popup and in Gmail.

In the popup

  • The running timer with Stop, or Start on a project and task
  • Tracked today
  • With working time on: Clock in, Break, Back to work and Clock out
  • Today's drafts to confirm one by one or with Confirm all

The badge on the extension icon shows the elapsed time. In Working time only mode, and for time-only members, the popup shows only the working time line and Request time off.

In Gmail

In an open email, Track time sits next to the subject. A click finds the customer in your CRM and its active projects, so you can start the timer there. While a timer for that customer runs, the button shows the live clock and stops it.

meetergo uses only the email addresses of the sender and the recipients, senders first. It never reads the subject or the body.

  • A contact with one of these addresses wins. You only get contacts you may see in the CRM.
  • Otherwise meetergo looks for a CRM company with the email domain.
  • Your own address and your own domain are skipped, and so are mail providers such as Gmail.

On other websites

Switch on Timer on other sites in the popup to show the running timer on every site. Chrome asks for permission first. The small pill shows only the clock and Stop, never the project or customer, because the site belongs to someone else. You can switch it off at any time.
