Working time and the time clock
Clock in and out, breaks, your hour account, target hours, bookings and payouts, hints on breaks and rest, and your own export.
With working time on, everyone who records working time clocks in and out. An admin switches it on under Settings → Working time → Record working time. In Working time only mode it is always on.
Clock in, take a break, clock out
You find the time clock in the top bar, on My time → Hour account, in the mobile app, in the browser extension and on your personal clock link.
- Clock in when you start.
- Break starts a break and Back to work ends it.
- Clock out when you finish.
A break is not work: clocking out or starting a break stops a running project timer and saves it. Starting the project timer during a break ends the break. If you forgot to clock out, meetergo reminds you. It never clocks you out on its own. If you clocked out by mistake, Correct the clock right after puts you back in.
Your hour account
My time → Hour account shows today with your target, the week, and your month: target, actual, balance up to yesterday and vacation left. Each day shows its span, breaks and hints.
Have overtime paid out
With the Suite plan you can ask for overtime to be paid out.
- On Hour account, click Request payout under your balance.
- Enter the hours and an optional note.
- Click Request.
An admin decides in Approvals. While it waits, Withdraw takes it back. Once approved, the hours leave your hour account and are paid out with payroll.
Target hours
An admin sets each person's target hours. Open Settings → Working time, click Edit next to Target hours and pick a person. On Team → Time, a click on a person opens the same record.
- Click New target hours.
- Pick Valid from. Earlier days keep their old target.
- Pick the Working days and the hours, Same every day or Per day.
Planned target hours can be removed before they start. If the hours are above the limit of the work location, meetergo shows a hint. Nothing is blocked.
In the same record, Work location holds the person's work location, region, protection rules and start date.
Bookings on the hour account
Admins with the Suite plan open a person on Team and pick Hour account. It shows the balance up to yesterday and every booking.
- Correction adds or deducts hours with a reason. Plus adds, minus deducts.
- Payout books hours that are paid out with payroll. It is at most the balance and is dated between the last carry-over and yesterday.
A booking counts in the balance once its day is over. Bookings are never edited or deleted. To fix a mistake, book the same hours with the opposite sign.
Hints on breaks and rest
meetergo checks each day against the rules of your work location and shows hints, for example a missing break, more than 10 hours, too little rest or work on a Sunday. Hints never block anything. Your employer sees them as well.
Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Rules and public holidays follow each person's work location: Germany, Austria or Switzerland, with the state or canton for regional holidays. An admin sets the company default under Settings → Working time → Work location.
meetergo gives you a record and hints. Your employer stays responsible for working time rules, permits and agreements that apply to your company, for example a works agreement or a permit for night or Sunday work.
Your own export
Export PDF on Hour account downloads your record of working time for the month. You can do this at any time, also while Time & Projects is paused.
