Document to sign in forms
Have respondents sign a document at the end of a form. Their answers and CRM data are filled in, and they sign on the e-signature page.
With the Document to sign field, your respondent signs a document right inside the form. It is based on a signature template. The answers from the form and the data from the CRM are already in the document.
Add the field
- Open the form in the editor.
- Add the Document to sign field. Place it after the questions whose answers belong in the document.
- Choose the Template on the right, or create one with New template.
- If the template has several roles, choose which role the respondent signs as.
Put answers into the document
Click Edit template. Under Data from you now also find the Form group with every question before the field, such as first name, street, date of birth or a choice. You can mix form data with contact data, sender data and today's date.
You can connect a checkbox in the template to a choice in the form. When the respondent picks that option, the box is ticked.
What the respondent does
- They answer the questions.
- At the field they click Review and Sign Document. The document opens with their answers.
- Required fields are red, optional ones blue. Next walks through every open field.
- After signing they are back in the form and can submit it.
If they change an answer afterwards, they sign the document again.
When the respondent comes through a personal link, contact data comes from the CRM. Otherwise meetergo takes it from the answers, for example the contact block.
Other signers
Other roles in the template, such as Broker or a third party, are signed by the form owner by default. Under Signs as you pick per role:
- a team member
- From a form answer: an email question and optionally a name question or contact block
- a fixed email address
Invitations go out by email once the form is submitted, in the order of the roles. You can prefill another person's fields from answers too.
If the answer has no valid email, the form still submits. The submission and E-Signatures then show, for example, Third party: email missing. Use Add email to add it later; the invitation follows the signing order.
If the respondent leaves without submitting, the document lapses after 24 hours. It does not appear under E-Signatures and costs nothing.
Find the signed document
In the submissions, the field shows Signed PDF once everyone has signed. The PDF export of a submission includes the signed document at the end. You also find the request under E-Signatures.
Each signature counts toward your monthly signature allowance when that person signs.
