How to Change the Default Country Code for Phone Fields

Set a custom default country code for phone number fields in your booking forms

Updated on December 4, 2025

By default, phone number fields in meetergo use Germany (+49) as the default country code. If your customers are primarily from another country, you can change this default to make booking easier for them.

How to Set a Custom Default Country Code

  1. Go to your Meeting Types
  2. Select the meeting type you want to edit
  3. Navigate to the Questions tab
  4. Find the phone number field and click on it to edit
  5. In the Default Country Code field, enter your preferred country code (e.g., +1 for USA, +44 for UK, +43 for Austria)
  6. Save your changes

Tip: The country code must start with + followed by 1-4 digits. For example: +1, +49, +44, +971.

When a visitor opens your booking page, the phone field will automatically show the country flag and code you specified, making it easier for them to enter their number.
