Signature templates: send documents with CRM data filled in
Build a template once and send it to any contact. meetergo fills in name, address, date of birth, email and today's date from the CRM.
A signature template stores the document, the signers and the fields once. When you send it, meetergo fills in the contact's data. Your client only checks it and signs.
Create a template
- Open E-Signatures and click New template under Templates.
- Enter a name and upload one or more PDFs.
- Add the signers as roles, for example Customer and Broker. You pick the actual person when you send.
- Click Next and place the fields. If your PDF has fillable fields, you can take them over.
- For a text or number field, choose where its value comes from under Data from:
- Contact: first name, last name, address, date of birth, email, phone and more
- Other CRM field: any custom field on your contact, such as a customer number
- Sender: your name, your email, your company
- Date: Today
- Click Save template.
Bound fields show a tag like Contact · Last name in the editor.
Taken over PDF fields such as "First name" or "Date of birth" get the matching source automatically. Check them anyway.
Values the signer cannot change
Turn on Signer cannot change it and meetergo prints the value into the document. Without it, the value is prefilled and the signer can still edit it.
Send from a contact
- Open the contact in the CRM.
- Click Send to sign.
- Choose the template. The contact fills the first role. For other roles, pick a contact or click Me.
- Check the values under Filled in from the CRM. You can change them for this request.
- Click Send.
If the CRM has no value, the field stays empty. If it is required, the signer fills it in when signing.
You can also send a template with Send on the E-Signatures page, or choose Start from template in the new request wizard. Save as template turns a set up request into a template.
