Complete Your Onboarding

Walk through the meetergo onboarding wizard and set up your scheduling in minutes

After creating your account, the onboarding wizard helps you configure meetergo for your needs. This guide explains each step and helps you make the right choices.

Onboarding Steps Overview

The wizard adapts to your selections, but typically includes:

  1. Welcome & Preferences - Choose what you want to use meetergo for
  2. Personal Information - Add your name and contact details
  3. Calendar Connection - Link your calendar for availability checking
  4. Availability Setup - Define your working hours
  5. Meeting Type Creation - Set up your first bookable meeting

Step 1: Welcome & Preferences

Choose your primary use case:

  • Meetings: Focus on scheduling appointments
  • Business Card: Create a digital business card
  • Both: Access all features

Your selection determines which features are highlighted during setup, but you can always access everything later.

Step 2: Personal Information

Enter your details that will appear on your booking page:

  • Name: How you want to be displayed to invitees
  • Profile photo: Helps invitees recognize you (optional but recommended)

Step 3: Calendar Connection

Connect your calendar to enable:

  • Conflict checking: Automatically hide times when you're busy
  • Event creation: Add confirmed bookings to your calendar
  • Two-way sync: Keep everything in sync

Supported Calendar Providers

  • Google Calendar
  • Microsoft Outlook / Office 365
  • Apple iCloud Calendar
  • CalDAV calendars (Nextcloud, Proton, and others)

Select your provider and follow the authorization prompts. You can connect additional calendars later from Settings.

What Permissions Does meetergo Need?

meetergo requests only the permissions necessary for scheduling:

  • Read your events: To check when you're busy
  • Create events: To add confirmed bookings
  • Modify events: To update or cancel bookings

We never access email content, contacts, or other sensitive data.

Step 4: Availability Setup

Define when you're available for meetings:

  1. Select the days you work
  2. Set start and end times for each day
  3. Choose your timezone

Step 5: Create Your First Meeting Type

Set up a meeting type that people can book:

Basic Settings

  • Name: e.g., "30-Minute Call", "Initial Consultation"
  • Duration: How long the meeting lasts
  • Description: What invitees should expect

Video Conferencing

Choose where meetings happen:

  • meetergo Connect: Built-in video calls, no extra setup
  • Zoom: Requires Zoom account connection
  • Microsoft Teams: Requires Microsoft account
  • Google Meet: Requires Google account
  • Phone call: For audio-only meetings

Completing Onboarding

After finishing all steps, you'll see a confirmation screen with:

  • Your new booking page link
  • Options to share via email, copy link, or embed
  • Quick access to the onboarding checklist for additional setup

The Onboarding Checklist

After the initial wizard, a checklist helps you explore additional features:

Meeting Setup Tasks

  • Learn meetergo basics (video tutorials)
  • Customize your meeting types
  • Set up automation and reminders
  • Configure team features

Business Card Tasks (if selected)

  • Create your digital business card
  • Share and connect with contacts

Access the checklist anytime by clicking Get Started in the bottom corner of your dashboard.

Skipping or Resuming Onboarding

  • Skip steps: Click "Skip" to move past optional steps
  • Resume later: Your progress is saved if you close the browser
  • Restart: Contact support if you need to redo onboarding
