Connect Matomo to meetergo
Connect your own Matomo instance to meetergo to track how visitors interact with your booking pages. All data goes straight to your Matomo, hosted where you decide, so you keep full ownership of your visitor data.
What is tracked
- Pageviews on your booking pages and routing forms
- A conversion event when a visitor completes a booking
- An event when a lead form is submitted
Events appear in your Matomo under the event category meetergo.
Before You Begin
- You need a running Matomo instance (self-hosted or Matomo Cloud) with admin access.
- You need the Site ID of the website in your Matomo that represents your booking pages. Find it under Administration > Websites.
- The URL must start with
https. - One Matomo connection per meetergo organization.
If you use Usercentrics, the Matomo tracker only loads after the visitor consents to the Matomo service in your banner.
Connecting in meetergo
- In meetergo, go to Integrations & Apps.
- Find Matomo and click on it.
- Enter your Matomo URL (for example
https://stats.example.com) and the Site ID. - Click Save.
meetergo now loads the Matomo tracker on your public booking pages and sends the events listed above.
Disconnecting
Open the same modal and click Disconnect, or use the delete action on the Matomo card. The tracker stops loading immediately.
FAQ
Do I need Matomo Cloud or a self-hosted instance?
Both work. Enter whichever URL serves your matomo.js.
Does this set cookies before consent?
No. When Usercentrics is connected, the tracker waits for consent. Without a consent banner configured, the tracker loads like any other tag on the page.
Can I track individual team members separately?
No. Tracking works at the organization level, like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
