Professional Works Integration
Connect meetergo with Professional Works to automatically sync booking attendees as clients, and optionally push CRM notes and documents.
In this article you'll learn how to connect meetergo with Professional Works so that every attendee who books a meeting is automatically created or updated as a client in Professional Works. Optionally, you can also push notes and documents from your meetergo CRM to the matching client.
How the integration works
When someone books a meeting type that has the integration enabled, meetergo creates or updates the attendee as a client in Professional Works. If a client with the same details already exists, it is updated rather than duplicated.
You can optionally enable a second sync direction: notes and documents you add to a contact in the meetergo CRM are also pushed to that contact's Professional Works client. This is independent of the per-meeting-type booking sync.
Professional Works requires a few account-specific reference IDs (status and salutation) to create a client. You set these once when connecting, and every synced contact uses them as defaults.
What you need before connecting
Professional Works exposes these values in your own account. If you're not sure where to find them, ask whoever administers your Professional Works account.
- API token – a Bearer token generated in the Professional Works API manager at apimanager.professional.works.
- PW user ID – the numeric user identifier used for API calls (e.g.
1234). - Status ID – the default client status assigned to contacts created from bookings (for example your "lead"/"Interessent" status).
- Salutation ID – the default salutation used when a booking has none.
Two more values are optional:
- Owner ID – the Professional Works user that should own synced clients. Defaults to your PW user ID.
- Document type ID – the default document type applied to documents pushed from the meetergo CRM.
Treat the API token like a password. Anyone with this token can access your Professional Works data. Don't share it and store it only in trusted places.
Connect Professional Works to meetergo
- Go to Integrations.
- Find Professional Works under the CRM category and click Connect.
- Paste your API token and enter your PW user ID.
- Enter the Status ID and Salutation ID.
- Optionally fill in Owner ID and Document type ID.
- Optionally tick Also push notes and documents from the meetergo CRM to Professional Works.
- Click Connect.
If the token and IDs are valid, you'll see a success confirmation. If not, double-check the token and that the IDs exist in your Professional Works account.
Enable Professional Works for a meeting type
Connecting alone doesn't sync anything yet. You need to enable the integration per meeting type whose bookings should be pushed.
- Go to Meeting Types.
- Open the meeting type you want to configure.
- Switch to the CRM tab.
- Find Professional Works and click Manage.
- Toggle on Create or update contact.
- Close the dialog. Changes are saved automatically.
Repeat this for every meeting type where attendees should be synced.
Pushing CRM notes and documents
If you ticked Also push notes and documents when connecting, any note or document you add to a contact in the meetergo CRM is also sent to that contact's Professional Works client. This works independently of the per-meeting-type booking sync, so you can use one, the other, or both.
Disconnect Professional Works
You can disconnect the integration at any time:
- Go to Integrations.
- Open the Professional Works integration.
- Click Disconnect.
Bookings continue to work normally, only the Professional Works sync stops.
FAQ
Where do I find my API token?
Generate a Bearer token in the Professional Works API manager at apimanager.professional.works.
Where do the Status ID and Salutation ID come from?
They're reference IDs from your own Professional Works account. There's no list to pick from inside meetergo, so your Professional Works administrator supplies the right numbers when you connect.
What happens if an attendee already exists in Professional Works?
The existing client is updated rather than duplicated.
Do I have to push CRM notes and documents?
No. That second sync direction is optional and off by default. The booking-to-client sync works on its own.
Who can connect or disconnect the integration?
Only workspace administrators can manage the Professional Works connection.
My API token stopped working. What should I do?
Generate a new token in the Professional Works API manager, then reconnect the integration on the meetergo integrations page.
