Set up your first insurance broker customer
A partner guide to choosing one client task, setting up the workflow and repeating it with a second client.
Start with one broker and one real client task. A useful first workflow is booking a consultation and collecting a few answers beforehand. The broker keeps their existing management system.
1. Agree access and responsibilities
Open the Partner program in your own company's workspace. You can apply before setting up a booking page. meetergo reviews applications personally. Applying alone does not unlock customer management.
Agree with the broker who handles setup, ongoing support and product questions. Specify any services you charge for separately and decide who pays for the software.
Read Refer or Resell for the two models and their requirements. Only one model applies to each customer. Use the current Partner program for commercial details.
2. Choose one real client case
Ask the broker to show you the last similar case. Then select an upcoming consultation, document request or follow-up.
Define the result: a real client books and answers the preparation questions, for example. Opening the setup screen is not that result.
Ask which broker management system they use. Connect it first only if the chosen task requires it, and verify the supported data transfer before promising an integration.
3. Configure the customer's workspace
Use a separate workspace for each brokerage. If customer management is enabled in your partner portal, you can create a customer workspace. The broker accepts the invitation using their own account. This partner access does not consume a paid seat.
If customer management is not available yet, start with screen sharing in the broker's own account. Confirm referral attribution through the supported partner process. You cannot attach an existing company as a managed customer workspace yourself. Never request a customer's password.
For a consultation workflow:
- Create one meeting type with a suitable duration and meeting format.
- Check the broker's availability and calendar connection.
- Add a few booking questions about the client's request and discussion topic.
- Open the booking page as a client, including on a phone.
- Make a clearly labelled test booking and check its confirmation and details.
A document request can use a short form with an upload field. Name the agreed documents. An upload form does not automatically check which individual documents are missing. Check feature availability and limits in the plan comparison.
4. Obtain the first result
The broker sends the link to the agreed real client. Test activity does not count as a client result. When the booking or response arrives, review it together and complete the next broker action.
If no response arrives, first check whether the link was sent and whether the client can open it. Help with the actual blocker before introducing more apps.
5. Repeat with a second client
Reuse the checked workflow. Afterwards, review which work disappeared, what the broker still does manually, which plan supports regular use and whether a colleague needs access.
Only then add the next relevant task, such as meeting notes, signatures or a client portal. The broker reviews proposed client messages before sending them.
Demonstrate the workflow to other brokers
Show the problem, setup, client experience and result. Use clearly labelled sample data or a customer example approved for publication. Report only savings you actually measured.
A suitable session title is “Prepare client consultations with bookings and advance questions.” End by offering help setting up the same workflow. Find format guidance and brand assets in the content kit.
