Use your Outlook working hours
Let a schedule follow the working hours set in Outlook, so your weekly hours in meetergo stay the same as in your mailbox without retyping them.
If you set working hours in Outlook, a meetergo schedule can use them as its weekly hours. Turn it on once. From then on the schedule shows the hours from Outlook and updates on its own.
What you need
- An Outlook or Microsoft 365 calendar connected in meetergo.
- Working hours set in Outlook (Settings, Calendar, Work hours and location).
Turn it on
- Open Scheduling, then Availability.
- Pick the schedule that should follow Outlook.
- Above the weekly hours you see Use my Outlook working hours with the hours Outlook reports. Turn the switch on.
- If your current hours differ, meetergo shows both side by side. Confirm with Use Outlook hours.
The weekly hours and the time zone now come from Outlook and are shown read-only. Everything else stays as it is: date overrides, holidays, booking limits and your other schedules.
Keeping it current
- Every time you open the schedule, meetergo checks Outlook if the last update is older than an hour.
- Once a day meetergo checks Outlook for every schedule that follows it, so your booking page is right even if you never open meetergo.
- Refresh now in the row asks Outlook straight away.
Turn it off
Turn the switch off. The last hours from Outlook stay as your schedule and you can edit them again.
Good to know
- Outlook has one time range per day. Split days and breaks are not carried over. Block a break as a busy event in Outlook instead; busy events already keep that time from being booked.
- Only one schedule per user can follow Outlook. Turning it on for another schedule moves it there.
- If Outlook needs to be reconnected, the row says so. The last hours stay in place until you reconnect.
- Removing the Outlook connection turns the switch off and keeps the last hours as a normal schedule.
- API: while a schedule follows Outlook,
PATCH /availability/:idrefusesscheduleandtimezonewith status 409. Turn the switch off first.
Google, Apple and CalDAV calendars do not expose working hours, so the switch only appears with an Outlook connection.
