Collecting reviews and embedding them on your website

Turn on review collection, share your review page link, import Google or cituro reviews, and paste the embed code so the review widget and star ratings appear on your website.

Updated on August 7, 2026

meetergo collects its own reviews: after a meeting the attendee gets an email with a link to your review page, and published reviews can be shown on your booking pages and on your own website.

Reviews are part of the Suite plan (formerly Growth) and above.

The three review surfaces

Reviews live on three different pages, which is the most common source of confusion:

SurfaceURLWhat it is
Review page (collection page)cal.meetergo.com/reviews/collect/<your-slug>The public page you share. Visitors read your reviews and leave one. This is the page you design.
Review request linkmy.meetergo.com/reviews/submit?...The personal link inside the review request email. It already knows who the reviewer is.
All reviewsmy.meetergo.com/reviews/public/<id>The plain list of published reviews. This is what the star rating on your booking page and the widget's "See all reviews" link open.

Turning review collection on

  1. Open Reviews (sidebar entry Reviews; if it is not in your sidebar, add it under Apps → Add apps).
  2. Click Settings (gear icon, top right) to open Review settings.
  3. Under Who are you collecting reviews for? choose Whole company or Per team.
  4. In Collection Settings, switch Review Collection on.

Until you do, the settings page shows "Review collection is disabled" and no review request is ever sent.

Collection settings

SettingWhat it does
Review CollectionThe master switch. In Per team mode this switch belongs to each team individually, so a team that has never been switched on collects nothing even when the company is set up for reviews.
Send emailWhen the request goes out, counted from the end of the meeting: 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours after the meeting, or the next day.
Notification ChannelsEmail only today. SMS and WhatsApp are listed as Coming soon and cannot be selected.
Auto ApproveOn: a new review is published immediately. Off: it stays Pending Review until you publish it.
Anonymous CollectionLets a reviewer hide their name on the public page. With it off, an anonymous submission is rejected.

The wording of the request email is a normal email template: Admin Center → Emails → Templates → Review Request.

Your review page

The card at the top of the Reviews page shows the page, its link and its template.

  • Copy puts the link on your clipboard, Preview opens the live page.
  • The language picker next to the link adds ?lang=de (or fr, es, …) so you can hand out a link in the reviewer's language.
  • In Per team mode each team has its own page at cal.meetergo.com/reviews/collect/team/<team-slug>.

Anyone who opens the link can leave a review, a booking is not required. If the email address is unknown, meetergo creates a contact for it.

Designing the page

Edit page design opens the page designer with three tabs:

  • Design — one of four templates (Classic, Hero with video, Storytelling, Bold CTA) plus your accent colour.
  • Sections — switch individual blocks on or off and edit their text, images and video (hero, stats, steps, rating, form, reviews, FAQ, trust badges, CTA, footer).
  • Share — the panel a reviewer sees after submitting, so they can share their review on LinkedIn, X or by email.

Changes take effect after Save; Preview opens the public page in a new tab.

Showing reviews on your website

Everything below sits in Review settings.

  1. In Display Options, switch on Floating Widget, Google Rich Snippet, or both.
  2. Scroll down to Sharing → Embed Code.
  3. Copy the code and paste it into your website's HTML, just before the closing </body> tag.

One snippet powers both: the floating widget that shows your reviews on the page, and the rich-snippet schema that lets Google show star ratings for your site.

Widget Appearance (visible while Floating Widget is on) controls the position (six corners and edges), the primary, background and text colour, how many reviews rotate through it, the rotation interval, whether it starts minimized, and its language.

Show on Booking Page is separate from the widget. It puts your average rating and review count on your meetergo booking pages, linking to your list of published reviews.

Importing reviews you already have

From Google

  1. In Google Integration, paste your Google Place ID (find it with the Google Place ID Finder; it starts with ChIJ).
  2. Click Import Google Reviews.

Run it again at any time to pull in newer ones. This needs an active paid subscription and is not available during the trial.

From cituro

Paste the link to your public cituro ratings page under Import from cituro and click Import cituro reviews. All reviews are imported with their original dates and shown as via cituro. It is a one-off import you can repeat whenever you want the newer ones.

From ProvenExpert

Individual ProvenExpert reviews cannot be imported. Their API only exposes the overall rating and the count, not the review texts. Connect your API ID and API key under ProvenExpert to see your overall rating inside meetergo. This works on every ProvenExpert plan. See Connect ProvenExpert to meetergo for the full walkthrough.

Asking for a Google review as well

Fill in Google Review URL (for example https://g.page/r/your-business/review) and switch on Google Review CTA. Reviewers are then invited to post their review on Google too, right after submitting it on your page.

Asking for a Trustpilot review as well

  1. Open Reviews → Settings → Page Studio → Share.
  2. Paste your public Trustpilot Review URL.
  3. Switch on the Trustpilot CTA.
  4. Choose Ask everyone unless your local policy clearly permits showing the prompt only to selected ratings.

The prompt appears after a reviewer submits their feedback and opens the public Trustpilot review URL you pasted. Trustpilot reviews remain on Trustpilot and are not imported into meetergo.

Managing incoming reviews

The Reviews page lists every review with its score, comment, contact, date and status. Per review you can:

  • Publish — make it visible on your review page, in the widget and on the booking page.
  • Unpublish — take it off the public pages without deleting it.
  • Delete — remove it permanently.

With Auto Approve off, new reviews arrive as Pending Review and stay invisible until you publish them. There is no way to reply to a review inside meetergo.

FAQ

Can each meeting type have its own review page?

No. Reviews are collected either for the whole company or per team, so the smallest unit is a team. Move the meeting types that need their own reviews into their own team, switch to Per team, and each team gets its own page, link and settings.

Not directly. The link is built from your company slug, which you can change under Admin Center → General. Changing the slug also changes your other meetergo links.

I can't find the option to embed the reviews on my website

It is in Review settings → Sharing → Embed Code, and it only appears once Floating Widget or Google Rich Snippet is switched on in Display Options above it. With both off, the box reads "Enable the Floating Widget or Google Rich Snippet option above to generate the embed code."

The widget on my website stopped loading

Copy the embed code again from Review settings → Sharing and replace the old snippet. The widget script has moved to a new address, so a page still pointing at the old one fails with a "Failed to load script" error in the browser console.

My review page shows a rating even though I have no reviews yet

The statistics bar only appears once your first review is published. Before that, the page invites the visitor to be the first to review. An average and a count on an empty page was a display bug that has since been fixed.

Are these the same as my Google reviews?

No. meetergo collects its own reviews and stores them in your account. Google reviews only appear in meetergo if you import them with a Google Place ID, and a review left on your meetergo page does not appear on Google unless the reviewer also posts it there through the Google Review CTA.

Can I sync reviews to ProvenExpert?

No, in neither direction. The ProvenExpert API can neither create a rating nor hand out individual reviews. What does work: showing your ProvenExpert overall rating inside meetergo, and sending reviewers on to a ProvenExpert survey after they review you. See Connect ProvenExpert to meetergo. Real review imports exist for Google and cituro.

Is a rating field in a form the same thing?

No. A Rating field is a star question inside a booking or routing form, and its answers land in that form's submissions. It does not feed your review page, your average score or the widget. See Rating Fields and Feedback Collection.

Can an attendee leave more than one review?

No. One review per contact, per company (or per team). A second submission from the same email address is rejected.

How do I stop review requests?

Open Review settings → Collection Settings and switch Review Collection off. Requests already scheduled for earlier bookings still go out; the switch applies to new bookings. Reviews you already collected stay in your account and stay published unless you unpublish them.
