Upgrade to a paid plan

Change your plan at any time, upgrade or downgrade between paid plans, switch between monthly and yearly billing, choose how many seats you pay for, and see how prorated billing works

Updated on July 28, 2026

No matter if you're still in the trial phase, using the Free plan, or already on another plan, you can adjust your plan anytime to unlock more features and capabilities.

The upgrade takes only 2 minutes, and then you can start using all of meetergo's advanced features right away.

This article will guide you through the simple upgrade process and explain how billing works when you make changes to your account.

How to Upgrade Your Account

Upgrading your meetergo account is straightforward and gives you immediate access to enhanced features:

  1. Go to the Billing Page in settings.

  2. Choose whether you prefer **Yearly **or **monthly **billing.

  3. Click on the desired plan, for example Suite.

  4. Under Choose number of seats, set how many users you are paying for. The minimum is the number of users you already have, and you can pre-purchase seats for people you are about to invite.

  5. If you haven't entered your billing address yet, a pop-up will appear. Enter your billing address there.

  6. Once your billing address is entered, you will be redirected to the payment page. Here, you can add your payment method and confirm the purchase.

Done! You will now be redirected to meetergo. The features of your plan are immediately available.

Switching to a Different Plan

Once you have a paid plan, changing it works the same way in both directions. Click the plan you want on the Billing page and confirm. There is no separate downgrade flow.

ChangeWhen it takes effectWhat you are charged
To a higher plan, for example Light → SuiteImmediatelyThe price difference for the rest of your billing period, invoiced right away
To a cheaper plan, for example Premium → LightImmediatelyNothing. The unused part of your old plan becomes a credit on your account
Between monthly and yearly billingImmediately, and your billing period restarts from that dayThe new period, minus the credit for the time you had already paid for
To the Free planAt the end of your current billing periodNothing more, and no refund. See How to cancel your subscription or downgrade to the Free plan

meetergo confirms this in the dashboard after the change: the change takes effect immediately, and any price difference is settled automatically on your next invoice.

A credit is not paid out. It stays on your account and is used automatically for whatever you are charged next, which may be your next invoice, an extra user, an SMS package or a later upgrade. On a yearly plan the next regular invoice can be up to a year away, so the credit usually shows up on the first thing you buy in between.

Switching from Monthly to Yearly Billing

Are you paying for meetergo on a monthly plan and want to benefit from the cheaper prices of an yearly plan? Alright, I'll show you how 😉

Switching to the yearly plan is always worth it because already paid amounts will be prorated. Therefore, you only pay the difference. You will never be financially disadvantaged by upgrading!

  1. Go to the Billing Page in settings.
  2. Click on "Yearly billing".
  3. Choose your desired plan.
  4. A pop-up will appear where you can confirm your changes. Go ahead and confirm it.

Done! Your plan has been switched to yearly billing.

Switching from Yearly Back to Monthly

This works the same way: choose Monthly, pick your plan and confirm. It is worth knowing what it does to your billing period before you do it.

Switching the billing cycle restarts the period on the day you switch. The part of the year you had already paid for is credited to your account, and you start a fresh monthly period. If you switch back to yearly later, the period restarts again, so you pay for a full year at that moment. Your credit is applied to it, so you never pay twice for the same time, but your invoices become harder to follow.

FAQ

When do the new features become available after upgrading?

The features included in your new plan are available immediately after your payment is processed. There is no waiting period. You can start using advanced meeting types, additional integrations, and other plan features right away.

What happens to my existing Meeting Types when I upgrade?

Your existing meeting types remain exactly the same, but you'll gain access to additional customization options and features that come with your new plan. Nothing is lost during the upgrade process.

Can I downgrade my plan later if needed?

Yes, at any time and without a notice period. A downgrade to a cheaper paid plan takes effect immediately and credits the unused amount to your account. A downgrade to the Free plan takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep your paid features until then. Features above your new plan stop working after the switch, but nothing is deleted.

I switched plans by mistake. Do I get the money back?

You are not charged twice, but you do not get a payout either. The amount you had already paid is credited to your account balance and used automatically for your next charge. On a yearly plan that may be your next regular invoice, or sooner if you add a user, buy an SMS package or switch plans again.

Can I upgrade only some of my users?

No. A plan change always covers the whole account, so all users move together. If only a few people need a higher-plan feature, the account still has to be on that plan. Managing users and seats covers the seat model in detail.

How much does one more user cost?

One more seat at your current plan price, prorated for the rest of the billing period and invoiced right away. Deleting a user credits the unused remainder to your account.

How does prorated billing work exactly?

When you upgrade or switch billing cycles, meetergo calculates what you've already paid for the current period and applies that credit toward your new plan. You only pay the difference, ensuring you never pay twice for the same time period.

Will my billing date change when I upgrade?

Only if you also change the billing cycle. Moving between plans while staying monthly, or while staying yearly, keeps your existing billing date and just changes the price. Switching between monthly and yearly billing restarts the period on the day you switch, so that day becomes your new billing date.
