Setting Up Back-to-Back Meetings
Whole day blocked after one booking? Back-to-back meetings hide every slot that is not directly next to an existing booking.
Back-to-back meetings keep your day free of gaps by only offering booking slots that sit directly next to a meeting you already have. It is a restrictive setting: on a day that already contains a booking, every slot that is not immediately before or after that booking disappears from your booking page.
If your booking page suddenly shows far fewer times, or a whole day looks blocked after the first booking of that day, check whether Back-to-Back Meetings is enabled. This is the most common cause.
What the setting actually does

Only meetings booked through meetergo act as anchors, together with the buffer time around them. Events that come from a connected Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar still block their own time, but they do not open up adjacent slots.
Because the next slot starts the moment the previous meeting or buffer ends, times can look uneven. A 45-minute meeting ending at 14:05 makes 14:05 the next bookable start time, not 14:30.
Back-to-Back Meetings is available from the Essentials plan. On the Free plan the option is shown but cannot be selected.
How to enable back-to-back meetings
- Sign in to your meetergo account
- Go to Meeting Types
- Open the meeting type you want to configure and click Edit
- Open the Availability tab
- Scroll to Buffer & Optimization and find Back-to-Back Meetings
- Choose Enable. Disable is the default.
The setting belongs to one meeting type. Other meeting types keep their own behaviour, so you can run one page back-to-back and leave the rest open.
When to use it
Back-to-back scheduling works well when you want your bookings to pile up into one block:
- Several short consultations in a row (15 to 30 minutes)
- Consultation days where you would rather be busy for four hours than scattered across eight
- High-volume days such as interview or sales blocks
It works badly when invitees need free choice across the day, or when you travel between in-person appointments. For travel time, use buffers instead and leave back-to-back off.
Checking the effect

FAQ
After the first booking of the day, almost nothing is bookable any more. Is that a bug?
No, that is the setting working as designed. Only the slots touching that booking stay open. Set Back-to-Back Meetings to Disable if you want the rest of the day to stay bookable.
Why do slots start at odd times like 14:05?
Because a bookable slot has to begin exactly when the previous meeting or its buffer ends. If you want round start times, either keep back-to-back off or choose meeting durations and buffers that add up to your slot grid.
Can I set buffer time between some meetings but still allow back-to-back for others?
Yes. The setting is per meeting type, so you can enable it on one page and keep buffers on another. Buffers and back-to-back also work together on the same page: the next slot then starts after the buffer instead of after the meeting.
Do participants see that I have back-to-back meetings scheduled?
No. Invitees only ever see their own booking. Nothing about neighbouring meetings is shown to them.
Can I add breaks between back-to-back sessions?
Yes. Block the time in your connected calendar or add an availability exception. meetergo treats both as unavailable.
