Customize Your Email Sender Name

Configure how your emails appear in recipient inboxes by setting a custom sender name and choosing between branded or no-reply addresses.

Updated on May 9, 2026

When attendees receive booking confirmations, reminders, and notifications from meetergo, the "from" name and address they see makes a first impression. With email sender configuration, you can customize exactly how your emails appear.

Access Email Sender Settings

  1. Log in to your meetergo account
  2. Go to Emails in your Admin Center
  3. Click the "Branding" tab at the top of the page
  4. Scroll to the "Email Sender" section

Configure Sender Name

The "From Name" field determines what appears as the sender's name in recipient email clients.

  • Default behavior: If left empty, emails are sent from your company name
  • Custom sender: Enter a specific name or team identifier (e.g., "Sales Team", "Calendar Booking", "John's Office")
  • Best practice: Keep it recognizable so recipients immediately understand who the email is from

Choose Your Email Address Format

Branded Email Address (Default)

  • Appearance: Emails appear to come from a branded address associated with your domain (when using custom domains)
  • Best for: Businesses that want to reinforce their brand identity and build trust through consistent branding
  • Example: noreply@yourcompany.com or booking@yourcompany.com

No-Reply Address

  • Appearance: Emails appear to come from a generic no-reply address
  • Best for: When you don't need recipients to reply directly to the booking email
  • Benefit: Reduces confusion by signaling that this is an automated, one-way notification

Save Your Changes

After customizing your sender name and address preference, click "Save" to apply the changes to all future emails sent by meetergo.

FAQ

Does changing the sender name affect email delivery?

No. Email delivery is unaffected by your sender name settings. Your emails will continue to arrive reliably regardless of the name you choose.

Can I use different sender names for different email templates?

Currently, the sender name applies globally to all emails sent by meetergo. If you need different sender identities for different workflows, consider using custom domains or email routing through integrations.

What happens if I don't set a custom sender name?

meetergo uses your company name as the sender. This is a safe default that works for most users.

Can I use my personal name as the sender?

Yes. You can enter any text in the "From Name" field. However, for professional contexts, consider using a title or context (e.g., "Jane Doe - Booking System" rather than just "Jane Doe") to clarify the email's purpose.

How does the sender name appear on mobile devices?

Most mobile email clients show the sender name in full on the message list and in the email header. Very long sender names may be truncated, so keep yours concise (under 30 characters is a safe limit).
