Connect ProvenExpert to meetergo

If you collect reviews through ProvenExpert, you can connect your ProvenExpert account to meetergo. meetergo then shows your overall rating and how many ratings it is based on, and keeps both up to date automatically.

Reviews are part of the Suite plan (formerly Growth) and above.

Individual reviews cannot be brought into meetergo. The ProvenExpert API only exposes aggregate rating data, meaning the overall score and the count. No ProvenExpert plan offers an endpoint that returns the text, author or date of a single review.

What you need

A ProvenExpert account. The overall rating is available on every plan, including the free one.
Your ProvenExpert API ID and API key.

Find your credentials

Sign in to ProvenExpert.
In your profile, open Administration → Developer API.
Copy the API ID and the API key. Both are specific to your profile.

Connect ProvenExpert

Open Reviews and go to Review settings.
Find the ProvenExpert section.
Paste your API ID and API key, then click Connect ProvenExpert.

meetergo checks the credentials with ProvenExpert before storing them. If the connection works, you see your overall rating right away. If ProvenExpert rejects it, you get their reason shown in plain text.

Your API key is stored encrypted and never shown again. To change it, disconnect and connect again.

Only admins can connect or disconnect ProvenExpert.

Update your rating

Your overall rating is refreshed automatically once a night. If you do not want to wait until the next day, click Update rating in the same section.

Collect reviews on ProvenExpert

Because reviews cannot move in both directions, there is a second route: send people who just reviewed you in meetergo straight on to a ProvenExpert survey. That is the only way a review ends up on your ProvenExpert profile.

To do that, enter your ProvenExpert survey code in the same section. With a code, the person gets a link that already has their name and email filled in instead of a blank page. This needs a connected account on the ProvenExpert PLUS plan or higher. Without a code the prompt still works, just generically.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect in the same section. This deletes your stored credentials and the cached overall rating.

FAQ

Why can't I import my ProvenExpert reviews?

Because ProvenExpert does not give them out over the API. The rating part of the ProvenExpert API only offers aggregates: the overall score, the number of ratings, and a ready-made rich snippet. There is no endpoint for the individual reviews on any plan, not even Premium or Enterprise.
