Add contacts and log visits on mobile

Scan a business card, badge or NFC tag, dictate notes, and let Mira suggest CRM values from what was said.

Updated on September 12, 2026

Tap the plus button and choose New contact, or tap the plus button on the Contacts tab. This needs an app version that includes lead capture.

Step 1: Contact

Pick how to fill in the details:

  • Business card: take a photo. The app reads name, company, title, email and phone. Check the result.
  • QR code or badge: scan the code on a badge or a digital business card.
  • NFC tag: hold a smart card or tag to your phone.
  • Or type the details by hand.

While you type, the app checks whether the person is already in your CRM and offers to use that contact. To log a visit with someone you already know, use Log a visit with an existing contact. A connected HubSpot account can also fill in details by email.

Step 2: Conversation

  • Where did you meet? The event name. It is saved with the visit.
  • Tags: pick from the tags your team already uses, or add a new one. Tags help you find everyone from an event later.
  • Notes: type, or tap Record a voice note and talk. The recording is written down and added to your notes.
  • Found in your notes: Mira reads your notes and suggests CRM values it finds, for example a job title, the company size, or a deal close date. Each suggestion shows the sentence it came from. Tap the check to accept it. Nothing is written without you.
  • Qualification questions: optional. Choose one of your Connect call checklists and answer the questions. Manage them in Settings > AI on the dashboard.

The card When you save tells you exactly what happens: the contact is created or the visit is added to the existing one, tags, notes and answers land on the contact, and nothing is sent to the person.

After saving

The contact opens in the app. The visit appears on the contact with a snapshot of the questions and answers. Accepted suggestions are saved with their source, and a value a person typed later always wins. Reviewed answers can fill empty linked company fields, or deal fields when there is exactly one open deal.

Deal suggestions such as a close date or value are offered only when the contact belongs to a company with exactly one open deal.

If you can only see your own contacts and the email belongs to a colleague's contact, the visit is still saved to that contact and its owner gets a notification. The contact's details stay unchanged.

Offline

The installed app keeps drafts, card photos, voice notes and downloaded questions on the device. Card reading, transcription, suggestions and contact search need internet access. A saved visit waits on the device and syncs when the app reconnects or returns to the foreground. Open Drafts from the top of the screen to resume, retry or discard what is waiting, and to archive or restore recent visits.

Codes containing only a website link or badge ID cannot supply contact details. Type the details by hand; organizer badge lookup needs a supported event integration.
