meetergo Connect is an integrated video platform designed to facilitate secure and efficient online meetings. Built on WebRTC technology, meetergo Connect allows participants to connect directly with each other, ensuring that video and audio data is never routed through external servers. This peer-to-peer approach enhances privacy. All essential features like screen sharing are supported - to support productive virtual collaborations.

You can leverage meetergo Connect in three ways: by generating instant meeting links for immediate use, by sharing your personal room link, or by setting it as the default channel for specific meeting types.

Creating an Instant Video Call

For an impromptu meeting, click New in the sidebar and choose Start instant call, then share the link of the room you land in. The full steps, including how to copy a link without joining first, are in Start an instant video call or use your personal room link.

Setting meetergo Connect as a Meeting Type Channel

  1. Go to your Meeting Types and edit a meeting type or create a new one
  2. In the meeting type settings, under "Venue", click "Add Option" to add a new channel
  3. Choose "meetergo connect" from the list and click confirm to add as a new meeting type channel
  4. Delete other channels if necessary so that meetergo connect is the only Meeting Type channel

By configuring meetergo Connect as the default channel for specific meeting types, you streamline the process for recurring or similar meetings. When participants book a meeting of this type, they'll automatically receive a meetergo Connect link and will be able to join your private video call.

Limit when guests can join a scheduled Connect meeting

You can give each meeting type its own guest join window:

  1. Open the meeting type and go to Advanced.
  2. Under Connect guest join window, enable Limit when guests can join.
  3. Enter how many minutes before the scheduled start guests may first join.
  4. Enter how many minutes after the scheduled end guests may still join.
  5. Save the meeting type.

The two limits are independent. Leave one field empty to disable only that boundary, or turn the setting off to remove both limits. Guests who arrive too early see the exact local date and time when the room opens; guests who arrive after the window has closed are asked to contact the host.

Hosts are exempt, so they can enter before the guest window for preparation and remain able to return after it for follow-up. The limits apply only to scheduled Connect rooms linked to a booking; instant calls and personal rooms stay unrestricted.

Whether you need on-the-fly video calls or want to standardize your meeting channels, meetergo Connect provides the tools to enhance your virtual communication experience.

Customize Branding

Additionally, meetergo Connect offers branding options to personalize your video calls. In your organization settings, you can set a company logo that will be displayed during meetings, adding a professional touch to your virtual interactions. The calendar invite title is also shown. For even more customization, meetergo Connect supports dynamic variables, enabling you to include personalized information in your meeting invites and displays. These branding features help create a cohesive and branded experience for all participants, reinforcing your organization's identity in virtual meetings.

Recording and transcribing a Connect call

A Connect call records itself. No bot joins.

  • Automatically: switch Mira records on for the meeting in AI Notes or on the calendar row. The room starts recording when the first person arrives, and meetergo transcribes the call afterwards. The transcript, the AI summary and the video land on the booking and under AI Notes → Recaps.
  • By hand: during the call, open Integrations and press Record meeting, or use the menu. The panel shows whether the recording is running and what Mira will do with it.

Everyone in the call sees a red Recording indicator and has to agree to being recorded or leave. The booking page and the invitation say beforehand that the call is recorded. Recording needs the Connect recording feature on your plan; the transcript and summary need AI Notes.

Prefer to record on your own computer? The free meetergo Log desktop app still works for Connect calls, but do not run both: a call Mira records refuses a second transcript.

Prepare with customer context

As the host, click Customer in the Connect controls before or during a scheduled call. The sidebar combines the invitee's booking answers, CRM contact and company details, enriched company data, and recent meeting summaries. Mira turns the available facts into a short pre-call brief and keeps the source data visible below it.

Only room hosts can open this information. Instant calls and personal rooms show no customer context unless the room is linked to a booking.
